IVC Audio Visual appoints new Managing Director

Leading AV integrator and solution provider IVC Audio Visual has announced that Paul Fear has been appointed as the new Managing Director, taking over from the founder Ray Harding who has retired after 30 years in the role. Ray is well known in the industry as one of its pioneers from a time when the Pro-AV industry was transitioning from AV technology ‘out of a box in-room’ type systems to enterprise wide networked projects.
Paul has been working with employee owned IVC for the past year as a management consultant both as the Independent Director on the IVC EOT Trust and with the business in general and has been instrumental in leading various new initiatives.
With a background primarily in the electronics industry, Paul brings many years experience in MD and CEO roles, both in the UK and overseas. His achievements include transforming a loss-making electronics company to consistent profitable growth of over 500% over a 5-year period (twice in top 50 fastest growing private UK companies) and on to becoming a leading worldwide brand with exports of over 80% and active customers in over 60 countries.
He has also run a defence market orientated ICT business, managing it’s strategic merger with a key supplier and provided seed finance and second round funding for an e-learning start-up, guiding it to its subsequent successful sale to a European listed company.
Paul said that “it’s a privilege to be asked to lead such a well established leading player as IVC in what is one of the fastest growing and most exciting industries on the planet. I am lucky to inherit such a highly skilled and motivated team who are able to share in IVC’s success as an employee owned business.”.
